A successful Research Week
The 2019 Research Week has ended on a high note. With the 13 conferences running parallel programmes, this year’s numbers are quite impressive; 654 research papers, 45 guest speakers and 905 delegates. In addition, a variety of nationalities were present, two networking sessions for researchers and media held successfully.
“The University of Nairobi Research Week is specifically intended to foster discussions on research activities and findings, create a platform for presentation of academic papers and showcase innovation illustrations and foster partnerships with others players in the research enterprise in the various sectors,” says Prof. Madara Ogot, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research, Innovation and Enterprise.
Some of the conferences include Advancing Science to Inform Sustainable Development, the 2nd Annual Conference on the Status of African Women, the 2nd Annual International Conference on Research and Innovation in Education, the conference on Value Creating and Critical Thinking in a Global World, the 1st International Conference on Open, Distance and E-Learning, the ARGRO 2019 Conference and Exhibition, the 2nd Annual Architecture and Engineering, the 2nd Annual Nairobi International Multidisciplinary Conference, the 2nd Annual Victimology and Victim Support Conference, the 1st Annual International Conference of Project Management and the 1st Annual Development Finance Conference.
